1. because thats what we call it! we call em mickie, then a 26er, 40' and 60's!
2. we have "beer stores" so all the beer is at a set price in every province.
3. probably because you guys have more choices and they're checking it out?
4. it's sold out all over ontario at the moment. (last i heard anyway)

1. "Pint" sized alcohol bottles are most commonly 375 ml, so I'm glad we don't call mickey's pints. You see, our pints are legally defined as 568.26 ml. In Canada, if you want to advertise a pint, it has to be the standard. Yours are 473 ml, which still doesn't make sense. Why do you guys call something a pint that's not? it makes no sense to me.
2. First I've heard of this, and I don't like it. Unlike what persian says, not all beer is at a set price. In BC we have gov liquor stores, as well as private retailers, and the only consistent prices are from gov to gov store. Virtually NO prices match from brand to brand in either retailer, so I dunno where the logic comes from.
3. Wine coolers? What is this thing you speak of? Generally I probably take longer in US liquor stores because I'm trying to find a tasty (not bland) local dark beer, and the brands I actually recognise aren't worth much.
4. Bud lite lime is very special because it's an abomination, and goes against the laws of nature. Adding lime to a bad beer doesn't make it good. In fact, artificial lime just makes it worse.

mhmm we don't have private retailers here (ontario), thats why :P. only the LCBO and beerstore. although, you could cross into the quebec side and they sell them everywhere, and the restriction is only 18 (compared to 19 in ontario)
