I have the Blackberry Flip 8220 with T-Mobile on wifi right now and when I open my browser I get a message saying

You are not currently subscribed to a web2go(sm) plan. click HERE to view plans and get teh entire web ... blah blah blah

I wonder if the difference is the models we have. I called T-Mo and asked and they told me with out he data plan I have access ONLY to their special site to check my min usage and plan etc. and that I should not be able to connect to google or what ever.

lol thanks for that, i think that you should still be able to get on the internet
one of my friends called blackberry a while back and they said that accessing internet on wifi shouldnt cost you anything
it might be cuz my phone is unlocked but idk

it's most likely because you're unlocked...you're skipping around T-mobil's control and using the wifi.

Me? I have a Blackberry Storm on Verizon and could NOT be happier. phone itself is incredibly easy to work around in, browser is FAST and intuitive, and the blackberry app store is amazing

Also, the surepress screen on the storm is awesome. makes typing ALOT easier than on the iphone....

Also, with a blackberry, you don't have the same phone as every 13 yr old teenie bopper out there, you have something that while casually-awesome, is still business approved and looks more professional than the iphone.
