I can say when you don't have anything to drink with you and that happens, it the scariest shit, especially being within a couple blocks of home (and water)

Yeah, when you stop sweating is when to really be scared, you are about to go down for the count at that point. Even more so if you start feeling cooler as soon as you stop sweating.

Ok im one of the Boy Scouts here at TTP. Try this and you will be fine. Get Gatorade or Powerade and drink one Nalgene full of water every hour and half a gatorade or powerade every hour with it. To put into ratios, 1 powerade or gatorade for every 2 nalgenes of water. Try it and watch the works of hydration.

For those that don't know the absolute joy and utility of nalgenes, you may want to say how many liters a standard one carries. On a side note, do you prefer the widemouthed or narrow-mouthed variety?

I need to break mine out sometime. Combine with a handkerchief and some iodine for purified-enough water on the trail.
