This setup on a ruger charger 10/22 pistol.

whatever the hell that is- you can do better.

I'm assuming you want a firearm for target shooting/plinking (I hope you wouldnt dare CCW or hunt with that)

Sooo the market for a good .22 pistol is basically covered by the Ruger MK series and the Browning Buckmark. If you want to go revolver, I suggest a single six.

Ruger Mark Series. (with custom grips)

Ruger MK III Hunter, stainless, w/ fluted barrel (what I have)

    Browning Buckmark

The Boy Scout camp i go to has the same Rugers, but we only have 1. We also have a revolver too. But both are .22's. Give me a minute to find that other Boy Scout camp that has AK's.

now HERE is a beautiful gun...

    or this one...

    haha nice.

I really like the looks of that CZ...... I mean that really looks solidly built for some reason.... hmm I may have to research that (I'm contemplating getting another firearm, a GSG-5 comes to mind but, I already have a MK III for .22 plinking. and I don't have a semi-pistol....)

Is that a S&W 686? I agree those guns are downright beautiful and as good as wheelguns get.
The reason I said .38 is because my Grandfather has an old police issue colt trooper. We also have a Ruger GP100 to fullfill the duties of farm revolver as it is not as expensive as a S&W and not as sentimental as the Colt Trooper...
IIRC, when the SAS was looking for a new sidearm, they used the CZ as the BENCHMARK to compare everything else to....It was rated as being just as good, if not slightly better than the SIG they eventually chose.
The only reason they didn't go with the CZ is that Czech Republic was still only recently out of the communist eastern bloc and such, and they needed a more reliable partner to produce their firearms, so they went with the german SIG.

It is about as solid as a gun can feel....the thing is build from steel, and is build like a rock.

    and I believe it's a S&W 57 IIRC....

Yeah, but have you fired it?

Besides, you can do this to it:

Which I think is pretty damn cool.
Before your pants swell too much over the carbine kit, you might be interested to know that you can't actually buy the damn thing.

Beretta has not discontinued the U22 Carbine Conversion Kit (Part JU22CK1). Beretta and the BATFE have not reached an agreement as to how to sell the U22 Carbine Kit as, under current Federal (and many State)
Firearm Regulations, a pistol (such as the U22 NEOS) can not be converted into a rifle unless it is registered as a separate firearm. Under current BATFE Federal firearm regulations, an owner of a U22 NEOS would have to re-register the gun as a rifle. Under some State laws (such as California & New York), it would be considered an assault rifle (because of its 16" barrel length) and would not be able to be sold in those States. For these reasons among others, the Beretta U22 Carbine Conversion Kit is not currently available in the US at this time."

    Sorry to burst your bubble.
