Problems caused by religion
if you think about it, most religions are basically the same anyhow...a base path of ideologies, with a supreme being/creator. the difference between each religion is just a different set of 'rules' or 'paths' to connect with that supreme being/creator. some call that supreme being Allah, to some its Jah, to some its Buddah, some Yahweh...which are all essentially mean "God".
its like going to a family reunion. everyone is meeting up at grandma smith's (God/Allah/Jah) house for the reunion. some family are flying in (Muslim); some are driving in (Buddhism); some are walking (Christianity); some are riding a bike (Judaism); etc. but intrinsically, they all have one goal and destination, grandma smith's...they just took different paths/means to get there. and they all might call "grandma smith" a different name...some call her "nanny" (Allah), some call her "grandma smith" (God), some call her "granny" (Jah), etc., but its all one in the same.
or like coke/pepsi. a glass of coke/pepsi on the table: some call it coke/pepsi, some call it soda, some call it pop, some call it soda pop, some call it a soft drink...its all the same thing :P

its often been said: never discuss religion or politics. :Pit can easily and quickly turn sour, especially with how much diversity is in the world. and if these religious zealots are as devout as they practice, then they shouldnt worry about the smith's across the street that practice <insert religion>, because if theyre the sinners that they think they are then God/Allah/Jah/etc will sort them out in the end...theres no need for them to declare war or anything else on them, just let things take its course...to each his own.

Problems caused by religion
Who needs religion, in my opinion if your a dedicated towards some religion and you devote your time to that specific religion, you spend a good 3 or 4 months of your life just doing religion when you could be doing something that actually helps the community like taking time to to some community service or being helpful in some way like playing of TTP servers or donating. 8)
Who honestly needs religion in their life, it only complicates things.

Problems caused by religion
Greatest quote I ever heard regarding this thread:
Men often say, "Look what awful things religion has done to men"...
...I say, "you think that's bad? Look what man has done to religion."-- Yahoo

Problems caused by religion
I've begun worshipping the Sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the Sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to God are all answered at about the same 50-percent rate.

You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci. Joe Pesci. Two reasons; first of all, I think he's a good actor. Okay. To me, that counts. Second; he looks like a guy who can get things done. Joe Pesci doesn't fuck around. Doesn't fuck around. In fact, Joe Pesci came through on a couple of things that God was having trouble with. For years I asked God to do something about my noisy neighbor with the barking dog. Joe Pesci straightened that cock-sucker out with one visit.
I noticed that of all the prayers I used to offer to God, and all the prayers that I now offer to Joe Pesci, are being answered at about the same 50 percent rate. Half the time I get what I want. Half the time I don't. Same as God 50-50. Same as the four leaf clover, the horse shoe, the rabbit's foot, and the wishing well. Same as the mojo man. Same as the voodoo lady who tells your fortune by squeezing the goat's testicles. It's all the same; 50-50. So just pick your superstitions, sit back, make a wish and enjoy yourself.
