    Dear god Basketball

    http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=975391

Jeremy Tyler completed his jump from high school underclassman to pro basketball player on Wednesday when he signed a one-year, $140,000 contract with Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Premier League.

Tyler, 18, is the first American-born player to leave high school early to play basketball professionally overseas. The 6-foot-11, 260-pound Tyler announced in the spring that he was skipping his senior season at San Diego High because prep basketball had become boring.
basically an 18 is skipping senior year of highschool to go play basketball in Israel because "prep basketball" is boring.

I always though football players were stupid but at least they go to college

I'm sure he didnt come to that decision on his own. I'm willing to bet his "cousins" are egging him on at the chance of $140k. I dont feel sorry for him. Let him do it, and when he gets hurt and has to serve fries at McDonald's for the rest of his life, I'll stop buy and laugh at his ass for being ignorant.

Where are the parents that are supposed to be yelling his ear off about this?

Possibly. But this isnt Lebron James money we're talking about here. $140k is a lot, but not the kind of money you go out and buy everyone in your family a new car with.

FYI, I got the $140k figure from an espn report that said he would sign a 1 year deal worth that much.

    hmmm....

With an education and some hard work, one could make 140K per year with very little chance of it all ending due an on the job injury and very little chance of being replaced by a younger version of yourself in under 10 years.
    Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.
