Thread: .. you download a game client and it still has to update.

Why can't people who release game clients for games that update make it so when you download the full client from their website, it's the most up to date version? I mean srsly, would it be that difficult for them to update their client download whenever they do a full patch of their servers? Every game I've ever downloaded like this has had to update. It's the same when you digitally download a game. Every game should be fully patched if you buy it after the patch comes out (give or take a month or so, I'm not entirely unrealistic in my time frames). But no, including BF2 and 2142 and every other game I've tried digitially downloading, they all have to be patched after you download the 'full game'.

Stupidity.

Its so you can track from the original content. For example, if I decide I want to bunny hop and shoot people in battlefield 2 on single player for the hell of it I can uninstall the game. Then, after I do a fresh no patch install, I can fight bots a bunny hop/shoot all I want. I've never done it, but I like options.....

Options for a up to date version or a original fresh install. That....would be nice.
