[quote="DaToxicfritoReally and truley i wouldnt mix sub sizes it just dosent work out lol. also cadience isant that great and they are overpriced for what they are. Funkin audio had some sweet subs. i have pushed as much as 3000 wrms into one of their SX 10's. but daily i run 1250 wrms to the 15's i have right now. and next weekend ima be putting 8 15's in : ) in a wall behind my front seats. ima be tryin to break a 155 with music.[/quote]

I'm not to worried about SPL, or what brand you use....its something ive never heard of, on any of my forums, nor have seen at any audio comps around my area to prove itself.

I am a strong believer in Digital Designs (smaller company out of oklahoma)....prolly one of the best "bargain" buys for sub comps around, with an exceptional SPL as well as very clear crisp/tight bass....i just don't have the room in my reg cab to run them.

I've heard a couple of Cadence audio's, and i was pretty satisfied with them.....but 6months is a long time to see if their still a sub i like before sometin new/better would roll out from Digital Designs/TREO.

Alot of people say don't mix/match.....but 15's aren't exactly made to hit super high frequency bass notes, nor are they made to produce tight clear bass, 15/18's are sloppy....so if your just running 15's, your merely trying to impress the ricer in the civic next to you because your system is louder than his folgers can? So by running some 10's you hit tighter bass, and higher notes....so it levels itself out if setup properly

Of course i could always go with 4 12's since 12's are a good all around sub that are relatively tight and clean depending on what sub your looking at.

    my .02,

    Dave

Yes i have herd of DD and they are a AUSOME BRAND. i know a cupple frinds that have them. and TREO is also great brand. But the thing about 15's and 18's being sloopy. a lot of people just say that if you set them up crectley then they sound great. i can hit about any note that my 10's can but they just have the ality to hit the lowernotes. I have owned all kinds of sizes of subs fron 6.5" to 18" and the 18 that i had was a RE Audio XXX 18 with MT coils. They are great subs but just over priced. it hit every note that my 10's did. also my set of 10's in the croect box could hit every note that my 18 could. the 18 just could play the not louder than the 10's because of the air it could move. My 15's can produce tight clear bass. i dont exactly know why you think that the size of the sub should make it not as clear. If your box is cheap and not built croectly then they would not sound clear. but that goes for any size sub.

Saying that haveing only 15's so that i can impress the honda next to me that aint true. i run 15's because i like to get the lower bass. and my systems arent about all out spl. if they were then it would just be a one note wonder box. The wall that im building is a pure street banging box im just hopeing that i can do xxx.x Db in my class so that i dont have to pay for the 15's.

Also what forums are you a part of
