Thread: Console users call themselves gamers

This Gen consoles aren't as much about gaming as they are about making your leetnees status grow. Old school console players can consider themselves gamers tho. It was less about the competition and KDR skill and more about actually playing a good game. Also cause consoles like the NES, SNES, Sega GEN, Atari, and TurboGraphics are the shit. :9

haha They can call themselves 'gods among rodents' for all I care. I have to say that do enjoy both PC and console games though...

i'd say if you kick ass at NES or prior systems your a true gamer.

Getting a 2:0 KDR is hell of a lot easier then beating Super Mario Bros (Especially as you don't get any saves)

only console i enjoy is the Wii and thats only cuz i enjoy all the kiddy games and all the DLC that you can buy

i personally use my console mostly for sports games and some action or stealth games.

Usually my computer is for online games, Strategy games and adventure games

I guess my open-ended question to yall with your panties in a bunch is who deems the ultimate definition of a gamer? I could call some guy in the park that worked me in a game of chess a gamer. What makes PC gamers so badass against console gamers? Dont give me that 360/PS3 came out so many years ago argument because either your PC parts are older than that or you upgraded after those consoles came out so that point is moot. Fact is there are gamers that prefer playing on the PC and there are gamers that prefer playing on consoles. What the hell does it matter?

Cause a majority of xbox360 owners went out and got one based purely on Halo. Not for the exciting single player game it is(which it isn't, but that's a different topic), but for the "zomg i pWt Ur faceee" multiplayer. Yes PC gamers have their share, but there is a large percent of PC gamers that play games like Peggle and solitaire exclusively. And I bet about 99.8% of those players don't act like 5 year old children when they win.

Dont you think that console gamers say the same thing about PC gamers? I see the same thing up here in Chicago with Cubs/Sox debates. "Cubs fans are obnoxious drunks and we, as Sox fans, dont act that way." "Sox fans are obnoxious white trash and we, as Cubs fans, dont act that way."
