I don't know about always, but on this one and in the correct order, she was the victim with I might add injuries, the cops made her into a problem. The 911 phone call wasn't against her. She should have been taken to the hospital. Why the jail? Most of you guys are commenting on the fact that she wasn't cooperating with the police, what about the police cooperating with the citizen? Anyways, it would help if we knew all the facts...
yes but she broke the law in falsely identifying her self. i am sure it was an honest mistake but the cops don't know that. all they knew was she was involved in a physical confrontation and while trying to get the facts about it she essentially lied about who she was .
it seems like her injuries weren't so severe she needed medical treatment , maybe she refused treatment? but either way they didn't take her into custody until her identity and who she really was came into question. and as stated she was taken in for questioning had she complied and helped the cops out we wouldn't even be here discussing this.

she made the situation worse, inadvertently sure but the blame lies with her for that

just not enough facts from this video.
I think you are trying to mislead people here, she never used her sister's name as being her own name. She didn't falsely identify herself. You have it completely backwards. The cops falsely identified her. She handed them the wrong ID without looking at it and they should have realized that the ID wasn't hers and ask her again for HER ID. They didn't do that. Obviously you can be a cop with little to no IQ. Who cares about your investigating abilities right? :/
voids your whole post right there, we don't know if it was a genuine mistake or not. it is speculation and her word that it was. But from the way she sounds in the back of the cop car, my hunch ( yes speculation too) is she wasn't cooperating from the get go.

I am not trying to mislead anyone the facts are we don't have enough facts to truly lay the blame anywhere yet. yes yes besides the guys being present for the strip search.

and further the cops did what they were supposed to do when they can't get a clear answer they take you in for questioning and in her case would have been released when the matter was cleared up had she cooperated with them.

In NYC, failure to provide ID will earn you a trip to the precinct.
