Thread: Coast Guard

I think you should do whatever you feel most confident doing...I'm probably in the same boat. I'm looking at graduating in December and the local PD has a rule preventing me from getting a job so I'm looking at the military as well as some other departments right now. If you feel like you'll be able to handle it, just do it. Honestly, all you really need to do (as I think someone already said) is keep your mouth shut and listen.

ahhhhh.....great lakes.....if I join, I hope to never be stationed there :-P



and powecock, yeah....they have huuuge law enforcement branches in the CG......look up the DOG -- Deployable Operations Group.....basically CG special forces :-P

My dad and brother are both in the Coast Guard and love it. Both aviators (helicopters)

Go for it, looks like a very cool job.
