    Truck Problem

I have a 2000 Ford F-150 5.4 V-8 Lariat edition. Everytime it gets really humid it won't start. If I turn it over and keep my foot on the gas pedal I can keep it running but as soon as I take my foot off of the pedal it stalls. :8

Hmmm.. First glance sounds like the distributer or coilpacks, but it also sounds like a fuel problem, lemme ponder this for a sec....

No distributer. That was my first thought but it does not have one. I have searched the net but not even a clue. I thought maybe the air filter but I have a K&N and it is clean. No codes.

What brand plugs you running? May be finnicky if they are not OEM. Check the PCV valve? Check all vacuum hoses by your battery for leaks?

TBH, the first step in diagnosing any drivability(that a word?) problems is to get it scanned. I have my own scanner, but you can go to any local AutoZone and get it scanned for free..

Will a scan tell me anything even if it is not throwing a code? Someone mentioned the fuel filter but can't think of why humidity would affect that. Hmm PCV valve. Can't be that expensive to change even if it is not the problem.

They tend to rot out pretty quick... Not that expensive and you can do the swap yourself. Could be a number of different things and I'm just taking stabs in the dark...
