Hate to say it, but I shed more tears for civilian casualties than I do for troops. Civilian casualties are sadly unavoidable, but troops sign up for the duty knowing full well that it's dangerous work. Just because civilians are 'locals' doesn't make them less human. If this shit was happening in the USA and civilian casualties were possible, I bet some of you'd be singing a different tune.
The failing is not in trying to avoid civilian deaths, but in having the CAS nowhere near where they were promised to be. Sounds like a problem with logistics, as Hawg was expressing. I'd like to hear what the explanation for this fuck up is.
It won't be good enough to explain 13 deaths, and more wounded, that's for sure.
