There are a many kinds of color blindness, most of the time it is a problem with the cones inside of the eye. But rarely, it can be a neurological problem where your brain just cannot process the signals being sent properly. It seems like the monkeys have the latter? I couldn't really tell from this article.

There is also hope for curing blindness in patients with an underdeveloped or damaged optic nerve. There have been several human cases where people who were blind were given stem cell treatment and actually regrew part of their optic nerve. Something we thought was impossible until now. If this can be done, theoretically a full eye transplant would also be possible.
cut the article off. from the way they go onto this
There are several forms of colour blindness. The most common form is inherited red/green colour blindness, passed on through a faulty colour vision gene on an X chromosome
, it sounds like its the latter (i think)

Ruu I couldn't read it either.

Colorblindness in genetics is usually passed from the mother whose father is colorblind onto her male offspring.

I have only met one female colorblind person, whereas I have met dozens of males.

I've never heard of colour blindness. But I hear color blindness can be an issue sometimes.

If they can fix colour blindness, maybe they can fix color blindness, too.
