Not getting a lot of work hours

Ok so I got a job at Genghis Grill, but here's the problem, I only work Sundays right now....

So basically until someone leaves or wants to give me hours on weekdays, I'll only be making about $50 a week. I'm gonna have to ask around or see if I can work two stores. It kinda sucks though because if I work two stores my gas money will disappear fast, since it's 20 mins to college, 20 mins from there to work, and if I work other stores it can be 15-20 mins from my house to those stores. It's probably typical of a job but damn....I've waited forever to get another job and I'm not making as much as I hoped.

restaurant jobs in college towns are in short supply......

I'd look into getting your TABC license and getting a job at a regular dining restaurant (I'm at the Olive Garden...pretty damned good money. I can make 50 bucks on a weekday lunch easy)

Poor you, try working for about 1.5 to 2 hours a week, and making ~15$

    ...

my advice, find a new job....not one in the food business.

Food industry isn't bad if you do it right like Spaz said.

I mean if you really need money, try a big retail store. I went from making pizzas at a laid back place owned by pot heads, coming in hungover, eating food and getting fat, place; to unloading a truck 40hrs a week at $8.30 an hour. Not much of a life, but I need the money.

are you 100% sure its due to the amount of workers?

just saying, if your not it can't hurt to ask your boss if there is a chance of getting some more hours

Shipping/Receiving and Order Selecting at warehouses are pretty simple jobs, and they're good exercise. You basically get paid to lift weights.
