Oh absolutely. Even in terms of philosophy as well as theology this is huge..

Hope MJF doesn't interfere with the readings.. <-- bonus points if you get that sick little joke.
This could really be the perfect example of infinity.

Think about measuring the area of a circle. We all know that the area of a circle = pi r^2 but how did they figure it out? Some semi-tricky calc II work using trig substitution but thats not my point. My point is, they figured it out by making some polygon that was inscribed in the circle. Then they continued making smaller and smaller polygons that fit within the boundary of the circle. Because they were able to add up these finite areas of polygons to others, they could then approximate it to some answer by letting the function that described the polygon go to infinity to approximate it.

Edit: bahh I hit post before I was done.

Each of these smaller polygons would be an example of another "universe" type of deal, except it may not be smaller than others. It could be the same size.

Another way to think about this, is by imagining a circle. Now draw say....10 (some easier, arbitrarily defined number for ease by working with powers of 10) semicircles on that circle. now draw 10 more semicircles for EACH of the first 10 semicircles drawn. Continue on, and you have, what I think, is a good idea of what these guys are talking about.

Now the way that these additional semicircles are created is through black holes sucking in massive amounts of energy and matter. This matter and energy go through and theoretically come out of a "white hole". This "white hole" could be the central location for another Big Bang type of occurrence.

And I have NO idea what the MJF is referring to unless its referring to some scene in Back to the Future?

Kaku may not be the most highly regarded physicist... But he's definitely the face of this generation when it comes to science. He's just easy to listen to and he explains things so that laymen can understand the subjects rather easily.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Definately. I love hearing this guy talk about new concepts.

I've watched him(And other physists) talk on a few future type science channel programs. Always get my mind thinking afterwards.

    6 years. We shall see
