maybe and probably a slight maybe at best, your professor is trying to prepare you for life after college. I know when I take a vacation, I have to hit the ground running the very day I return to the office with with a multitude of meetings, projects, etc.

You could be right, I work as well (part-time, but mise as well call it full time). The difference is that for work-work, you do not have to dedicate vacation time to prepare for it. For exams, you do. So its not really 'vacation', its 'studying at home'. As for my teachers preparing me for anything after college, id rather they didnt and just focused on the subject they teach.

A lot of teachers might say they are trying to prepare you for work/life after college, but some are just pissy because they don't get a break either so they make you work since they have t o work (grading excess papers etc.).

The ones that really teach you or prepare you for life after college will make you work when you should and know when to give you a break when you need it. I've learned a lot from my professors over the years that has helped a lot, especially since it is not material they are "suppose" to teach.
