Dude, go read my first post in the thread. I expressed doubt that he deserved it. I did explain, though, their reasoning for giving him the award.

You "doubt" he deserves it? C'mon....there is no doubt. He didn't do ANYTHING deserving of the award at all. The fact that he knows he doesn't deserve it, yet he accepted it anyway just proves that he is an even bigger clown.

Yes, "doubt." I'm not some know-it-all wingnut who doesn't think Obama deserves anything, though. And it's not like he hasn't done anything, the question is if he's done enough or has gotten enough results yet to deserve it. That answer is probably "no", but he, according to the committee, got the Prize for what he was trying to accomplish. Don't like it? Take it up with the committee, not Obama.

Trying isn't doing. Since when did we give out prizes for trying?

So, if a plumber comes to your house and tries to fix your toilet and fails, are you still going to give him $300?

"We" didn't give out anything. The Nobel Peace Prize committee selected him, and it isn't without precedent that they picked people based on efforts. Look at Arafat, Rabin, and Peres being awarded it in 1994 for "working towards peace in the Middle East." Do we have peace in the Middle East? No. It's an award for efforts and accomplishments, and the Nobel committee felt Obama was making great strides. Not at all comparable to a half-assed repair job, and not something you can blame Obama for. Research this stuff before you try and talk about it.
