Thread: Motorcycle people of TTP, I need some help.

I have to pop back in here and put some more praise on good gear and helmets. A big thanks to Arai helmets and Icon jackets and pants for saving my ass this weekend. I was in the Hill Country with my father. Rounded a curve a bit too fast, without enough lean. Bike went off the road. Luckily, it tossed me before hitting the barbed wire fence.

Lost my headlight, shift lever snapped, tail signal bent, tachometer cracked, seat tore and tank scratched a bit. Overall, not too bad for my first crash. I managed to fly and roll about 20 feet, settling in some nice grass. I'm sore as hell, but its a lot better than breaking something.

So a big +1 to Arai and Icon!

I can say that the Icon gear has helped my ass a time or 2.

Yeah quality gear is no joke.
I am alive today because of a shoei helmet. Worst crash of my life, dont remember the day before or the day of my crash. I was in and out of consciousness all the way to the hospital and didnt come to until the cat scan machine went wooosh wooosh wooosh around my head.

It hurts to fork out 500 for a helmet, but like I said, it saved my life.
Loosing traction in 4th gear pinned, while seat bouncing a triple is no good.
