Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito aren't recorded in your browsing and download histories.
All new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window.

That is the main reason I use it. Although, I do like the sense of security it give me as well. My gf has come over a few times and web browsed on my computer and because of Chrome, I had nothing to worry about. :9

My Firefox is reaching a point of being too customized, runs great on linux to xp, but vista hates it. So i use chrome in vista, love it, but still miss my addons.

The addons are comming to Chrome. Switch yourself to the "beta" chrome channel and the feature will turn on and you can start downloading them.

I didn't realize that addons were OS specific. But then again I didn't use Firefox until I was already a Vista user. Except, I use XP at work and use all my same addons as I use at home on 7, I thought.
