enough to know there no agreement on what works and that i don't believe cutting spending in a recession will work.

I know that more government involvement = more problems, and I know that printing money out the ass and giving away money like it's candy isn't better for us in the long run.

But I can read.
I read many economist saying that printing money will cause inflation.
I can also count.
Spending money you do not have, with no way to pay back the money, is going to lead to bankruptcy.
There is also the fact that much of our debt is held by a country that we don't really consider a true and loyal ally.

except i wouldn't because i don't believe thats the way to go. So do assume some more. Hell i've even said i don't agree with everything the stimulus did or the lax regulating of the bank bailouts.

And the point of spending in a recession is not to continue it afterwords, you spend to help get things back on track and then you scale it back. You don't just throw all the chips in at once or pull them out at once.
But the porkulus bill was planned to spend the money later, before the elections, in order to make the government look good in the short run, regardless of the long term effects.

We wouldn't need to print a shitload of money if we had actually been saving while things were going well.

Lastly, Tax cuts would just people saving the money instead of spending it, more then likely the same with companies. Or are you saying if you got a tax cut, you'd go out and buy a new T.V. even when you have no security you'll have a job next week?

He also told you it would take sacrifice to clean the mess he inherited.
That enormous deficit, that he voted for, when he was actually doing his job as jr Senator, that he has quadrupled.
But don't worry, he is going to extend health care to everyone and that will eliminate the deficit.
At least until Cap-n-Tax is passed, but those won't be taxes really because it will be the big bad energy companies that get soaked.
There is no way, absolutely impossible that those companies will then pass on the cost to you, the consumer.
Obama will step in and nationalize those industries too if they even try it.
