I hope he is turning in his grave to know how far we have progressed.
Thats called progress. LOL you make a statement about how it failed. Then try to ridicule me for saying back it up and nothing. You want to say it failed have you ever thought about what it could be like right now without the war going for the past 30 years? Of course you haven't thats why it seemed like such a cool thing to say.
    Yea I can imagine it.

Billions of dollars would have been saved and government regulation is a better choice than a black market.

Let me guess you are for anarchy and chaos......

I rather have the public and children of America safe by taking it off the streets by REGULATION AND CONTROL.

Spoken like a true person that would like to be able to smoke a little while sitting at the coffe shop. Now why would n't this war be farther than it is right now? I guess that would be because of those pesky little things like laws and rights that they have to follow as well.

Regulation and control lol. Because that has worked out great so far with other items right? No one under 18 has ever had a drink. No one without a license has ever driven. No one under 18 has ever had a tobaccon product. No one without a perscription has ever had a prescribed pill.

In a perfect world you would be right but we don't live in one of those do we.

You sound just like those whackjobs who were in favor of alcohol prohibition. Ban it!

Regulate it? bah it will never work.............

Yeah because is so what i said right. Don't get upset your theory doesn't work. It just reality.
Just for the record i might have 2 drinks a year but feel people should be able to drink what they want to as long as they aren't driving.

So instead of trying to attack me(of which wont work) back your statement up.

    Back up what?

You want to post back and forth in circles?

Does regulation work 100% of the time? Nothing is perfect.

If you are waiting for some miracle plan that is flawless well........keep on waiting.

Until then regulation will always be better than the black market.

I wanted you to back up your statement that the war on drugs was an epic failure.

Well then you have an opinion that the war has failed because you would rather see an attempt at trying to control it. I would rather have someone out there trying to keep as much out of the hands of kids as humanly possible. Nothing is 100%. Even if you let the dea go around every law that matters you still wont get 100%. So saying its a failure because it hasn't performed at 100% is just ridiculous.

We have controls in place for many things now and it no more effective than you think the war on drugs has been but yet we continue to try. So by your logic we should just take all of that stuff and put it bubble gum machines for everyone to get when they want because the controls have failed.

I had no idea bubblegum was illegal. I say decriminalize it at least. Bubblegum is no more dangerous than booze - but booze is legal.

"Oh but, but, bubblegum must be illegal for a reason!"

Yeah, women voters used to be illegal...slavery was legal once, sometimes laws are wrong. Shit happens.

    I say legalize bubblegum.

Heck, booze can kill you - nobody ever died from an overdose of bubblegum!

I'm sure someone choked to death on it at some point in time.

What do you think these statements are addressing? They seem like broad, fairly meaningless platitudes.

I'm also surprised nobody has mentioned the epic fail of Reagan's "war on drugs".

Someone did but in another thread and couldn't back the statement that the war on drugs was an epic fail. So by all means enlighten us on how it's an epic fail.
Are you talking about that thread where I said it was a failure, you said prove it, I did prove it and you ignored my post and changed the subject? No?
