Re: Arizona vs. Oregon
Hmm, didn't realize the PAC-10 was so competitive this year. I knew USC was disappointing, but I figured that just meant Oregon would take over. Red, you think Stanford is an up and coming program that will fight for the top spot for the next several years? Or do you think this is just a short term run that will most likely end next year?

As for the coming years i think its going to get more and more competitive, USC is going to come back, Cal is usually in decent shape (just need a good QB), Stanford looks like they are going to become a tough team, Arizona is looking good finally, Oregon is Oregon, and Washington is developing. UDub isn't there yet, but from what i've seen/heard of them this year IMO they are going to be there in a couple years.
The biggest thing helping Stanford and Cal is the quality of their education. I mean if i got an offered a scholarship to Stanford, i'd be up and out of here in about 30 minutes
But back on topic, i think Stanford, and Washington, are here to stay for at least a few years.

According to espn, Stanford hasn't had a top 25 recruiting class in the last several years. Also, aside from USC, no one from the PAC-10 has really made any noise in the last few years when it comes to recruiting. Granted I have a feeling this may change with the advent of a disappointing season for the trojans (by normal USC standards) and also because of teams like Arizona, Oregon and Stanford stepping up and making noise.
