Re: When people think they know things...
When I played CoD4 I listened to people argue about the best gun and talk about it as if they actually owned the weapon.
Newsflash: Just because you use it in game does NOT mean you know anything about it.
For instance, people trying to argue that the ak47 was an accurate weapon....no..you can't hit shit with it. Hence the term spray n pray.

Re: When people think they know things...
Some people can get a pretty good grasp on things purely by knowledge of specifications and recorded battles. Sure they don't have the hands-on feel of the object in question, but they could still get a pretty close generalization of it.

Or when you're sick and you've got a cold and the worst of it is over and all you should be doing is sleeping but you can't sleep cause you have to go to work cause not working doesn't pay the bills....
So you're sitting at your desk, doing your work with your box of kleenex by your side and your hot cup of herbal tea and your pounding away at the keyboard just waiting for the day to end so you can go home and sleep....but not yet cause it's the morning and people are starting to come in....
And then they find out that you're sick, so rather than leave you be by keeping their distance and giving you a wide birth......They come to you from all directions, each one of them with a different remedy or cure to your cold.
And it begins:
People Who Think They Know Things...about what's good for you and your body based on what worked for them and their body....
1 - Put your head over a pot of freshly cut Ginger + Lemon and breathe deep, then drink the tea
2 - Syrups A, H and U Pills B-Z and Fluids C and J
3 - Try this, try that, try that, this
4 - In my country we do this....
5 - In my country we do that.....
6 - Have you tried this, that, what about this and that?
7 - You really should be sleeping
8 - You really should be in bed
9 - You really shouldn't be at work today
10 - Have you tried warm milk and honey?
FUCK!! Get the fuck away from me, don't you think I'd be in bed if I could you stupid fucks?!?!?!?!

Well something to consider when deeming best or better. Production time/cost. Maintenance costs. Ordinance load. Reliability. Mobillity, Restrictions and flexibility. Usability -- ie how much training/effort does it take for someone to build and operate it. And how many situations can it be used?
The actual deployment itself doesn't say much for a weapon or fighting vehicle.
This is why the AK47 is considered the best rifle to date. Not for accuracy. The fact the damn thing will fire under most conditions, cheap as hell to make and maintain.. plus you can strap it on a 12 year old, show them how to chamber a round, and send em on their merry way.
Games are games.. so when it comes to that people are allowed their opinions for it.. but it stops there at the game.
