Book/Books?
I am sure there is/was a thread/s similar, but I am too lazy to search......
What book/books are you currently reading?
I am currently reading "The Perfectionist: Life and Death In Haute Cuisine" It is about Bernard Loiseau, a famed three Michelin Star Chef who took his job seriously, coupled with a bi-polar disorder, thought that he was going to lose one of his stars in 2003. So instead of facing imperfection and the mar of losing status, it drove him to kill himself.
It is an interesting read to learn how someone like that thinks, and that true genius is usually counter-balanced with some sort of sickness.

Re: Book/Books?
Well lets see...
I just finished: Methods of Behavioral Research, Behavioral Genetics, Cognitive Neuroscience, Health Psychology and Personal and Social Adjustment. Now that those are done I am going to read something fun... I have a neat book about the history of mathematics: "Rainbow of Mathematics" and I also have a copy of "Snow Crash" which I have not read yet. So over the break I think those two are in order.

Soy...hou must read Snow Crash now . Probably the best book i have read, at least willingly.
Right now i've been off and on reading Inverting the Pyramid: The history of Football Tactics by Jonathan Wilson. not very far into it but if you have an interest in soccer it is an interesting read. Has some good history in it, though itfocuses more on the tactical side of it.

Re: Book/Books?
I'm reading Redemption Ark by Alastair Reynolds. Gritty sci fi noir epic, very well written with a lot of great characters. Revelation Space is the first book in this 3 part series... it was Reynolds' first, I think, so is not quite as good/polished but still a very good book with a great ending.

Currently Beyond the Shadows, by Brent Weeks. Easy to follow, 3rd book of "The Night Angel" Trilogy. Kinda reminds me of David Eddings. Great read, highly recommend. Can read the first 9 chapters of the first book here = http://software.newsstand.com/bookrd...0YrFB0VZ&z=hbg

Reading Rant by Chuck Palahniuk right now. Also picked up Diary by him as well. Really enjoy his books, though Fight Club is the only movie adaptation of his works that was worth a damn (Choke was TERRIBLE.)
