Surprisingly, I've seen more and more people use it. Most people probably don't understand as well as gamers, but it seems to be becoming something a lot of people are saying now.

That sillyness is poping up all over the place, a freaking manager on a damn conference call said that about a problem a client had caused themselves the other day, my eyes have only now just stopped rolling...

It's not really very hard to understand... it's two words, taken literally... though slightly grammatically incorrect.

Poor wording then on my part. Sure it is simple, but why the or it came about I should mean. As Kraker said, it has been typically a gaming term, but it is just becoming so common I doubt people know much about it other that it is a huge failure of some kind.

In that case, neither do I. I don't know where most internet memes come from, and I can't stand most of them. Epic fail is one that does make me chuckle, and actually makes enough sense to become a part of normal culture, but a lot of the forums I go to are full of the same stupid memes repeated over and over again with no real content.

Wake me when you hear "cool story bro" on the local news. Then I will truly lose faith.
