    Looking for a job in the Houston Area..

    Hey everyone,

    I figure I would ask here before I went off and started the DICE, Monster, and Career Builder madness..

    It is a new year and I am looking for a new job in the Houston area. Anywhere off or around the beltway and away from the Greenway Plaza area.

    Does anyone work for a company that is looking for a Solutions Architect with an extensive experience with various Microsoft Server Technologies?

    Most of my background over the past 10 years has been in building enterprise class back office solution's - 7 of that was with a commercial software company.

    I am looking specifically for a software company with a product focus or a project oriented consulting company (not really interested in an staff aug firm).

    Good luck to you man. Not to sound like a pessimist, but it's a bit rough out there. Granted I'm not don't live in Texas so, I don't know what your up against. After a year of searching for a job to start my carrier, I have successfully gotten no where online. These days, it seems if you want a job, you have to be pushy.
