    Problem with that is they may have spent way more than 3 million. What group is backing this again because i would like to know if they are same fuckers with 2 million billboards in florida with the same message. I'm almost at the point where im going to rent a billboard right next to one with a picture of a hanger and a wet vac with the message "There is another way" just to piss them off.

If you disagree, then disagree and change the channel. So full of double standards.
    Oh you know that is 100% bullshit. If i put a commercial about someone getting an abortion, the "religious" would get all sorts of pissed. Same if it was one in favor of gay marriage. And 20 bucks, CBS would pull an ad about Abortion or Gay marriage off the air.

    Just like if someone went door to door about how god doesn't exist they'd probably end up being shot, or the cops called on them. But if you do it talking about God, then its okay!

    Lastly with the commercial, what about the person that didn't get an abortion and their kid became a serial killer? not saying thats a reason to get one, but neither is not getting one because of the 1 in a 100,000,000 chance of your kid being a Heisman trophy winner.
    So I guess you didn't read the latter half of my post? I don't particularly have positive feelings towards gay marriage or abortion, but I'm not going to protest commercials that are portraying it as a positive idea/issue. It's their right to voice their opinion if they so chose to spend the money that way.

    My point was that this pro-life commercial was deemed by hawg as "imposing beliefs" upon other individuals. I simply stated that if the shoe was on the other foot, all of a sudden it isn't imposing beliefs, but it's their freedom of speech. It is a double standard, for certain individuals on both sides of the argument.
    Strawman argument, because there has yet to be any commercials on how to get an abortion, and I haven't seen any commercials talking about gay marriage, especially none lined up to be seen during the super bowl......... Believe what you want, but keep your beliefs to yourself as well.... Is that so hard?
    There hasn't been one? Really? I've seen plenty. I know my feelings on abortion and such, but I also know my feelings on respecting people's right to free speech. Like I said, if I came in here bitching about an abortion commercial, would you agree with me and tell the producers of said commercial to keep their beliefs to themselves? Or would you harp on me for not allowing free speech or imposing my beliefs upon someone else's right to voice their opinion?

    Look, my feelings on the subject(s) of abortion, gay marriage, ________ are irrelevant. The only point that matters to me is that I am not going to protest a commercial that is pro-life or pro abortion. It's their right to make a commercial stating their opinion. It isn't breaking any laws (that I know of).

    Are you kidding me? How could you possibly think that people wouldn't care if someone put a pro-choice or pro-gay marriage commercial on during the superbowl? Do you even think the NFL would allow it to be played? It would be a fiasco, far more than the Tebow thing. Far right people would freak out about the media trying to subvert our children. This is just another example of religious people pushing the boundaries of how far they can jut their beliefs into the rest of our lives and get away with it. Half the time they play the martyr after someone calls them on it which is even worse.

    Speaking of not butting into other people's business, how about a bunch of crusty old white dudes stop telling all American women what they can and cannot do with their vaginas and uteruses? Or at least stop acting like they aren't trying to butt religion into other people's business. There's a radical idea.
    And I even stated that there would probably be people that would say something. But it's bullshit on their part if they feel they can voice their opinion freely, but expect individuals of opposing beliefs to not express their views freely as well.

    I'm not advocating anything on either side of the argument. Only thing I'm advocating here, the right to express one's opinion via commercial if they so choose...whatever their opinion may be.

And then please link any of said commercials that have been shown during any previous superbowls,...... shit, give me one that has been shown during a monday night football game.......

    As stated, nobody said that it is illegal, or shouldn't be allowed. It is just plain old stupid a waste of money and did I mention stupid?

    @Consultant
    PP does more than just abortions. I think promotion of and women's sexual health services as well as access to these services are, indeed, a good reason to grant funds to PP.
