Thread: ... when you buy something for nothing

recently i bought a universal powersuply for my laptop. made sure it could power this 17 inch 19v monster. i set the correct voltage on my psu plug the sucker in it runs for a while no problamo. then the backlight turns on and off. now it doesnt work correctly at all... not even off the battery... i hope it didnt fry that would make me a sad TMD. $40 down the drain....

Also the laptop is 5 years old now... maybe i should be saving for a newer one anyways

Update: I was taking my laptop apart and having some difficulty with hidden clips and screws. So a coworker of mine starts touching my boards and asking if there is a screw under this and that... I am sure he has shocked my boards.
It use to be the computer would boot but the screen would never get any signal. Now there is a distinct beep as it powers down almost immediately.
If I wasn't already in the mood to throw this thing away I would be super pissed. Instead I am just kind of pissed. Mother fucker.

Last person who tried doing that while I was working on a computer is still growing the skin back on the tips from where I scraped them on "accident" with the knife I was using as a pry to get the Mobo unstuck from the edge of the case.

I swear, it was an accident, but they should have recoiled their hand faster anyways.....
