Also, when taxes go up,it hurts everybody....not just the people who's taxes get raised. If we take money out of my bosses pocket,he has less money to hire employees, buy cars from the local dealerships, have his house remodeled/repaired,shop at the local mall, ect.
Look at what Billy C did when he added a "luxury tax" on new yachts back in the 90's. It was meant to "stick it" to the rich people buying new yachts, but it didn't work that way. The people either bought used yachts or none at all,and consequently put many boat builders out of business, and cost many Joe Lunchpails their jobs. Because of that tax increase, the Gov't brought in LESS money, and put companies out of business....

It is insane how inefficient the government is. If you think it looks bad from the outside, you should see it from the inside. It is obscene.
Our tax code is crazy too. Due to the way tax laws are structured, I will be, for the second year in a row, paying taxes on money that I am paying to the Federal Government. Fun huh? I get to fund this inefficient POS with $8000 of my hard earned cash this year. I cant wait for my 3% increase next year. :3

Did anybody catch on to my post?
See, this is a perfect example why a dot com should never be used as a source, you never know what's misconstrued. Reuters made a mistake which is why the article of this thread has been removed from the internet.

That is not to say there need to be some changes in our insurance system...there certainly are some that need to be made. But to take the best HC system in the World (people from all over come here) and throw it out completely is asinine. That is one of the reasons they can't push it through...even with a super majority. Fix what is broken, but a complete overhaul and/or replacement doesn't make any sense....especially with the amount of $ being spent elsewhere and an economy that is hurting....badly.
