Awesome! It looks like you all only had tennis shoes on. Try some rental climbing shoes and chalk, they help lots. For beginners, if you can use your legs more (with stiffer and sticker climbing shoes), it will be easier.

I am going back to try some of their 5.11s.

I kid. There were some really good climbers there, at least to my novice eyes, that were fun to watch. The shoes were included, but I figured I was such a noob it wouldn't really make a difference. I did basic stuff, like 5.6 and 5.7, maybe one 5.8.

Oh, if you wear climbing shoes, you can at least scramble up some 8s, 9s, or even 10s for sure.

It's a very addicting sport!!
