I think your definition depends on your age and location. As I am a nerd in terms of time and skill with computers and sciencey things (I absolutely love reading and learning about physics related things). A jock in respect to being Captain of the swim team and varsity soccer. Although I think if you asked my friends they would say I am pretty normal as it is average in my area (and amongst my peers) to be equally good in physical and mental activitys....

I dunno I shall ponder more.

I'm an athlete (hockey all my life hell yeah).

But there is no question about it.

Both really....

My younger years were jock/party animal (Rock Stars partied like my friends and I.....not the other way around)
- ~20 years of Hockey
-~10 years of softball,2 of which I was able to make a B league team (about as good as it gets here in Mn.)
-~ 10 Years of Football (not Soccer)
- ~30 Years of Watersports...Slalom Skiing,Kneeboarding,and Hydrofoiling (SkySki,Airchair),and 1 incredibly painful attempt at Barefooting (never again)
- ATV/Motercycle riding...since I could remember.

Lately....pretty much nerd-dom. I had some health problems and some major surgery a few years back,and just never got back into all the things I used to do.
I've gained a bit of weight,and am no where near the shape I was in 10 years ago....(need to work on that)
Since I'm home more,I have discovered my inner nerd.....I've always been an electronics/gadget geek,but no-where near what I am now.

Nerd pretty much. Even in liking sports i find the nerdy side in it (Fantasy sports, stats, and sabermetrics!)

Socially acceptable behavior:
8 years of soccer, one year I even got center striker for a whole season

1 year of baseball...not my style
almost 5 1/2 years of guitar/bass playing with lessons
drive a red mustang
actually had a date to my senior prom that I wasn't related to, and she was a female :9
Though I am most definitely not gay, my female friends outnumber my male friends by a good 300% (all my dude friends moved away for college and all the womenz came to meh)

Things I'm almost embarrassed to tell real people about in real life...
My toy lightsabers in my closet
my empty bawls bottle collection
My Star Trek collection
waiting approximately 14 hours in line for the premier of Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3
I listen to Midnight Brown and Sir Front-alot
I am in an online gaming clan at texas teamplayers
Spent all four years of auto mechanics in high-school debating the validity of midi-chlorians as a plausible explanation for the force
I can do 20 push-ups before passing out from lack of upper body-strength
I own every season of batman the animated series
4.0 GPA back in High School
I often recite passages from Monty Python and Space Balls
I have my plan of escape for the zombie apocalypse
I know what qwerty is in reference to
I can construct a 2 bit adder using jk flip-flops

hmmmm...doesn't look good for me :3 ...but we'll see
