Just remember if you get another dog, you are not replacing Sable or dishonoring the memory. Our dogs want us to be happy more than anything, because they somehow have the ability to see only the good in people. I wish I could say the same. Hang in there.
1. Any dog from the pound. They can be just as loyal and smart as any elitist "full breed" dog.
2. Lab
3. Jack Russel Terrier
4. Beagle
5. German Shepard

Right now I've got a 10 year old black lab and an 8 year old lab/golden retriever mix. They're both awesome. Before that, my best dog was a German Shepherd Dog.
Lord help me when my dogs die...I'll be a blubbering mess. They are like peas and carrots - I dont know what one will do when the other goes first...terrible.
