Re: Paying For Emergency Services (911)
This probably relates to some form of infrastructer fail -- Ie shorts causing tons of Phantom calls, or an abuse of the emergency dispatch. I wouldn't even think once about the 300$ bill to call 911. I am calling 911 when I need fucking help, and quick! No matter the cost. Sensational typical LA-type crybaby article.
This is just some form of a deterrant or prevention.

Re: Paying For Emergency Services (911)
yeah its ridiculous in some areas, fire depts get territorial. I dont believe in that, we are out to help people and it doesnt matter where they are.
What some of you dont realize is the number of bullshit 911 calls there are. People call for the most ridiculous things. Stubbed toes, headaches, been sick for three days and too lazy to drive to the doctor. Or oh I just want to get in faster... A large majority of calls are not emergencies. Maybe this is supposed to cut down on the bullshit. I would think that if you call for someone else you would not recieve the bill the person treated would.
