pretty much they have up little. a Yotes fan and Mueller the only one in the trade i've heard much good about. Matt Jones is not a great player (and even already forgot the other 2 they got rid of). Morris shouldn't take too much adjusting, he was there only a year or so ago and quite a few of his former teammates are there with him.

Apparently Mueller had been frustrated at Phoenix and had wanted out anyways, so honestly i like the deal. According to our GM the whole point of the moves was to try to get more firepower to pick-up scoring and the PP %.

Also think the Yotes realize that if they want to build up the phoenix fanbase, just making the playoffs isn't going to be enough (something i agree with). In Phoenix you have to win to get fans (see Cardinals go from blacked-out every week to always selling games out).

Heck yeah! Jersey all the Way. Im a huge Devils fan, last years playoffs were devastating for me, 2 goals in the 3rd period to lose the playoffs. Fuck you Staal!
That being said i hope the devils take it all the way, but my other non-favorite team pick.....

Blackhawks, they look real good, plus Kane looks fabulous toward the end of the olympics and the past couple weeks in the NHL. They're young, fast, and overall pretty good. Plus it doesnt hurt to have Toews has Captian.

But non the less, GO DEVILS!!!!
Blackhawks won't get past the 1st round of the playoffs. No goaltending. Book it.

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

I think with Anaheim, the Red Wings, not being so dominate and a changing of the guard in the west, San Jose is a veteran team when compared to Chicago and Vancouver who haven't been great teams until a season ago.

And Pheonix did not clean house. Where are you getting this idea from. Getting rid of a couple of scrubs and picks for veteran forwards is not cleaning house. They upgraded in all areas, a top 6 fowards and veteran defencemen for nothing but a higher cap hit. Most systems in the NHL are not that complicated and this is a sport that in North America is played pretty much the same from junior to NHL level. They still have plenty of youth, only removing the once promising Mueller, and keeping the hopefully not a bust, Kyle Turris. They didn't give away their high picks so they'll be fine come draft time.

Point is, they really only gave up a fourth and Mueller, swapped a couple minor leaguers, and took on salary no one else wanted.
Are you being serious about Thornton vs Yzerman? Yeah they said Yzerman wouldn't make a good leader when he was drafted.
Not 12 years into his career. Nabby couldn't get it done for a stacked team Russia in the Olympics and hasn't be able to do it for a
stacked Sharks team in the playoffs. It's a totally different season once the playoffs start. Sharks will be lucky to make it to the second round.

I really hope for you sake you guys are right about your Yotes. I just don't like the moves. They were lateral and it's my opinion that they didn't
really improve. They just added salary. I've liked Mueller since he made the team. I think he's got some great skill. I question his heart if anything.

So far so good on this topic kids. Keep it up. It's only gonna get better from here on out.

PS: Still waiting to her from Ranger10. I think the ass kicking the Kings put on his Rainbow Stars put him in hiding

Would have rather kept Porter and Mueller. But we all know that whole situation with that franchise is a mess.

Wings fan here. Last year was devastating. I think Babcock lost that one for the Wings. His advice for game 7 in the finals last season, and I'm paraphrasing: "We've been here before, treat it like any other game". He didn't want the team to get nervous & stupid but it ended up that they didn't play with much heart or energy and they lost it. This year I'll be happy if they just make it into the playoffs.

I've been a big fan of Babcock as a coach since he took the ducks to the finals a few years ago. As much as I dislike the ducks, as a kings fan, I was
impressed how Babcock had his team ready for a playoff run. Since then I can't say I've been overly impressed with his coaching style. He nearly
blew it for team Canada with his odd moves.

Nope they said it for 16 seasons until Yzerman won a Cup in 96-97. The talk of it started to die down during the amazing record setting season the Wings had in 95/96, but having the Sakic led Avs beat the Wings started this talk again.
