I apologize for interrupting the thread, but you just sounded like the teacher from Charlie Brown....

    Carry on....

    One Idea

Write an iPhone/Android/Blackberry app for xfire and steam that allows you to communicate with people in your friends list.
Yea... a good suggestion, but I'm not into writing crap for the mobiles.

    Re: Comp. Sci. Thesis

So I'm looking at both topics suggested thus far and my professors seem to like them (the kernel one seems much easier).

I've kinda branched off from genetic algorithms into AI (which is still broad) but seems to suit me better.
So... Does anyone know of a book on AI? A Good book, that they have possibly read before.

    Re: Comp. Sci. Thesis

I haven't read it, but this book has really good reviews and looks to be a good intro into the topic.

    from the reviews page

I am just getting into AI and I've been looking for some good AI books. This is the first one I've found that covers a great selection of AI topics and talks about them in PLAIN ENGLISH instead of trying to baffle you with lots of academic gibberish! It's also liberally sprinkled with clear diagrams and programming code. So if you want a practical AI book you can actually use and understand, I think this is a good one. It's written by an AI professional who can actually WRITE and communicate clearly! What a surprise!

This one, too, but you'd have to learn a new language at the same time.

This one on genetic computing seems interesting if long.

    Re: Comp. Sci. Thesis

My brother is writing his Computer Science Master's Thesis right now. He is doing it on computer interfacing with windpower (wind turbines) not sure of the exact title but it has to do with that. He's a beast though...been coding since he was like 8. He started learning C in middle school :3 He could code circles around probably 80% of the professors in the department at NAU.
