I got to shoot a .458 Mag Winchester. Jesus Christ, that was fun.

You can get them fairly easily Jason, you can even get the curio and relic license and buy them online and have them delivered to your door. The license is only $30 bucks and filling out some forms, I have one and it is easy as pie.

CMP has those carbines for usually around $700 or so and the M24/47s are still under $200 most places. You can get a real German K98 for around $250 or so. M1 Garands go for around $700-$1000 depending on how nice and which manufacturer.

the M1 carbine is from korean war and M24/47 was made for ww2 but was never used. its basically a k98k but its a little better.
