LETS START ANOTHER GUN THREAD!! YAY!!

So some may know I own a Rock Island 1911 and a Kimber Carry II.

This past weekend at my parent's place I got the opportunity to shoot a Glock 27 and a Whalter P99. (spelling? not sure..)

The Glock 27 is my cousin's, he's with the Harris County Sheriff's Department bomb squad. When he pulled it out to hand it to me, he pulled it out of his back side and I was like, "your holster is in the back?" and he said no, it's got a clip and he pointed at a clip that's mounted on the gun and said he doesn't use holsters. I can't remember if he called it a clip or not. Anyhow, I was looking around online and I can't find any Glock 27's with this clip he had on his gun. Am I using the correct terminology?

Anyways, when he handed it to me I asked, "where is the safety?" and he picked up his hand and wiggled his trigger finger and said, "this is your safety" me "no for real" him "I told you, this is your safety." me "so everytime you stuff it down your butt crack you could potentially shoot your ass off?" him "no, because I use the safety" and wiggled his finger again. lol, then I was like, "wait, do you drive around with this thing wedged against your back?" him "I don't even notice it's there.

Well I went out and started shooting at a cactus and I was all over the place with it. I was a little disappointed but I still thought the belt clip was pretty cool, I just wonder what he does if he needs to tuck his shirt in....

Then my uncle hands me his Whalter P99 and I went to go shoot it. I started pulling the trigger and it felt like I pulled it back half an inch before it went off. He mentioned to me that he set it like that. Anyways, I was pretty impressed with the tight group I shot with this gun and don't really understand how I can shoot really well with some pistols like this one and then can't hit shit with another like the Glock 27...

I'm willing to bet that P99 fit way better in your hand than the Glock did. I never liked how my hand grips a Glock.

Could it be the trigger pull weight as well? It sounded like his uncle had a lighter trigger pull weight.

the trigger pull weight on the P99 was super light, I just hated standing there holding my aim/controlling my breathing and guessing when it's finally going to go off...

Most def. The P99 are notorious for having a pretty heavy trigger pull, I think. I know the PPK, just like my PA-63 feel like it's 15+ lbs! I had to throw some different springs in there to lighten it up..

I think that retention method isn't really the brightest way to go. Especially in the small of your back. Fuck, if you fell backwards on any pistol, that shit would hurt sooo bad..

Damnit! Almost forgot to post up the necessary gif for any gun thread to get it started.

My FEG PA-63 (9x18 mak) and my new daily...

Walnut wood, blackish/brown shiny finish, checkered, and it's got the Hungarian crest engraved on both sides:

Sorry about the shitty cell phone/white washed pic and the gay Gucci wallet. It just happened to be on the bed next to me when I took the pic and I needed something to lift it up a bit.
