Need New Tires
I need new tires. 215/45R17. I'm looking for a tire that will give good comfortable highway driving, quiet, etc. Ive got a spare set of rims for *ahem* aggressive driving so I need something for everyday. They also need to be excellent in the rain. I don't want to spend more than 100 per tire though.

Re: Need New Tires
im running the same size goodyear egale F1's on the subaru right now. good tires, but i had to return one cause it would not hold air. which makes me think the other tires are loosing air so i check them constantly.
tires are kinda like coffee what i might like you might think is awful, your gonna have to find what works for you in the end.

Re: Need New Tires
True, true. Well sounds like you have problems with your's so thats kinda the thing Im looking for. Ive got goodyear GT's on there right now and they are a little too harsh for everyday driving, but I noticed a fairly large performance boost. If that helps anybody...

What year is your G35? 2dr or 4dr (not that it should matter)? I think they are great cars. I inspect 700-800 cars per year for buyers, and bang for the buck is flying in Nissan/Infiniti airspace IMO.

Re: Need New Tires
Hitch,
My G35 was a 2003 4 door. I bought it new is 200e and it was one of the first off the line. I kept it for 2.5 years and put around 80k miles on it. 2 sets of tires and a set of brakes during that time. I was probably 80/20 highway/city miles. Only other issue I had was sucking the roof liner down while doing 150mph with the sun roof open. I miss that car. Would really like to have a M56.

Re: Need New Tires
There isn't a whole lot of middle ground. Soft tires less noise hard tires longer wearlife. Last set of tires i put on my truck before last weekend anyway were a set of timberland 2's. I got about 75k out of those but they were like 150 a piece. I probable could have gotten quite a bit more out of them had i of been inspecting the front end of my truck once in a while. Destroyed them because the bearing, tierods, and idoler arm all were going or went bad.
