Well guys, tonight i asked my girlfriend to marry me and she happily accepted. It cost me and arm and a leg for the ring, but she is worth every penny of it. Im friggin stoked right now, so i thought id share with all my family here at TTP.

+1 it has only just begun. She'll want your opinion and at first you'll give it so she can ignore it. Then you'll start not giving it and she'll get mad because your not contributing to the big day. Then you'll have a nice little tiff over the fact she keeps asking for your opinion so she can ignore it just in the hopes she'll quit asking for it because at that point you won't care about anything going on that day much less what color the napkins are going to be.

LOL i remember it like it was yesterday. Congrats man if you can get past the wedding day it's all downhill from there. The only words of advise i have for you is dont argue about anything you guys cant change to begin with. Sounds stupid i know but it happens and money issues are number 1 on the list. The next is move away from both families. That little bit of bullshit talking from either side can put a serious wedge in between you two. Doesn't have to be a state or anything just 20 or 30 miles and you'll both have less headaches.
