It is interesting you bring this up...
Today at work it occurred to me that because many college students use all kinds of drugs to enhance performance; focus, stay awake for days, etc. So are they essentially cheating? It gets athletes disqualified...

Well, unless you want to ban caffeine and nicotine, I don't think that you can ban the other performance enhancers.
Actually nootropics has always been a fascinating subject to me, modafinil and piracetam seem to be the top runners in effectiveness these days, with Ritalin's family being a far far second, not to mention just as easy or easier to acquire. Which does make me wonder why Ritalin is still so widely used.
