Thread: Your assigned parking lot gets closed

So Rutgers decided to close this lot I am assigned as a commuter for this event called Rutgersfest. Its a relatively big school sponsored outdoor concert, party thing. Anyways, it displaced at least 250+ cars and the signs said to go park in a different lot a couple hundred feet away. One small problem, this other lot is nearly full on a normal day, let alone with the addition of 250+ cars. Thankfully I planned a head and got there early but it was already full beyond belief. So I parked in a nearby faculty lot is RARELY filled above 50%. I have yet to find out if I got a ticket or not, but if I get one, I am fighting the ever living crap out of it. This is probably going to happen both today, and tomorrow, with the actual event.

God, I would love to teach physics at Rutgers...when they built the string theorist physics program there, they asked a bunch of renowned physicists what they wanted to come and teach/research. The physicists all made outrageous demands for the lawls of it all. Rutgers still agreed to meet those demands.

heh, thats probably over on the Livingston Campus in Piscataway. All sorts of crazy labs there. If you ever come up this way, you know who to contact

I know the feeling man. Our campus did the same thing recently closing down a huge portion of our parking area for some event they decided to host on campus.

Ours was on a Friday and there aren't that many classes on Friday, but the day they held it was no normal Friday. It was advising day so everything was packed to all hell because of it. It doesn't help either that they closed down the lot that Thursday as well to get everything set up for it which made parking then even worse because of the normal class schedules.

To add to it, the even almost got canceled that Friday due to heavy rain and the lot they were using is prone to flooding (very poor design on the schools part by the way). Added with the construction they've been doing and funneling all traffic through pretty much one route, it has been a nightmare.

All I can say though is thank god the semester is almost over and I only have one more semester to go after this (unless the audit proves I'm missing something I forgot...*crosses fingers*).
