I was offered a temp job as an analyst for IBM for $50/hour last year for the Census project w/ a contractor for IBM. The bad part was that it was in Maryland. They were actually willing to pay for me to fly back and forth on Mondays and Fridays so I could spend my weekend at home with my family and pay for me to live in a hotel during the week.
In the end, I passed on the job. I have a good thing going, even if the pay is less. I prefer stability, and this job was only going to last until the US Census project was over with.

Apparently Houston is #1 on the national list for not turning in forms. Its probably because we have the local talk radio republican Micheal Berry bashing the whole Census concept to begin with.
They called us this morning on the way back from Tball. Asked us to write down how long it takes to get to the workplace and how many miles it was so they can reimburse the fuel.
Paying for gas as well?!?!?!
Best temp job ever. :9
