Thread: Employees are idiots

If it was legal I would just straight beat my dumb fuck employees asses.

So here is the situation:

Phone call Sunday afternoon "Tony, all the pop is flat"

Well, is the Co2 tank empty "Uhhhmmmm lemme check. Yup"

Well fuck I say, I don't want to pay a Sunday delivery charge so just buy 2 liters until Monday. Odd though, we have a huge bulk tank and it's never empty. Must have a leak or something.

Monday comes around and I call the Co2 people to fill the tank. They tell me I have to pay an extra $90 off route charge but I have no choice. They arrive and begin to fill the tank. Immediately I notice the BIB (Bag in a box, the way Coke syrup comes) pump is cycling. That means you need to change the box. I go and ask my fucking idiot kitchen manager how long it was doing that. "Durrrr... All day yesterday. We didn't have no Sprite so we didn't know what to do"

See, the shitty design of these pumps means they endlessly try to prime themselves if they don't have syrup. Now, we had at least 6 boxes of other syrup, just no Sprite. A normal thinking person would say "Hey, that machine making that noise once a second for 30 hours is probably not good. I should find a way to fix it or call Tony. Maybe just put ANY othe rsyrup on there to stop the pump?"

Dumb fuck employees I have opt for the simpler solution of ignoring it. This wastes $143 worth of Co2 and a $90 off route charge. This setup is in the break room. At least a dozen people would have heard it throughout the day, no one did a fucking thing.


I hate them all.

It's just so frustrating. They know how to stop that noise, you just change the box. None of them thought of just putting on another bag to stop the noise?

Really?

It flabbergasts me.

We have to sell about $1000 worth of food just to make up for that mistake.

I have watched employees step over, or walk around, trash and not even bother to pick it up off of the ground/floor. Why? Followers tend to follow whatever orders you give them, and not try to think or ask questions unless it is about the last order you gave them. Leaders make management, or start their own businesses.

Obviously you're correct Civil. Since I did not explicitly say what to do in that situation they couldn't possibly think of what to do. What pisses me off is they don't hesitate to call me everytime there is an issue, yet they didn't this time? For that matter, the same cook who called me and told me the Co2 was out didn't see the correlation between that and the sound he heard all day?
