thinkin about buyin DoD:S
i just thought rainbow six was boring, and not as good as CSS. and in most games, leaning IS fairly useless because it is implemented wrong, either because you can't shoot, or you lean out REALLY fucking slow, and lean back in at about the same speed. i mean, come on... have there been any DECENT games in which lean was usefull? i can understand why leaning would be useful in real life, but in most games... it just doesn't help.
and smokes for a tank... come on, how the hell do you expect to hide a fuckin TANK?? especially when you're out in the open.

thinkin about buyin DoD:S
i know why you found rainbow six boring. in CS:S you can actually go around the entire place running and gunning. usually you are stopped if the enemy team is good enough but everyone knows an oddball with a 12 gauge wipes out everyone once in a while. in rainbow six you try to run around the place you will never make it out alive no matter how good you are. i like the realism...
america's army and rainbow six games did leaning controls well. i found no problems with call of duty 2's leaning but did not use it for the majority of the game since its so easy in normal mode. you just have to stay still and you gain full health right back..jeez. swat 4's leaning was phenomenal and with the crazy AI that game has its saved me alot of times..
the purpose of pop smoke wasnt to hide something as big as a tank in a tiny cloud of smoke although sometimes it happens when the enemy does not have enough common sense to shoot at the middle. even then you could probably unleash trickery and make him waste time and probably an eryx rocket while hes trying to find you. if your tank was badly damaged and theres not an engineer in sight, you could pop smoke, park it next to an enemy flag and capture it. it would serve as a distraction. though obviously its pretty useless using an empty full health tank as a distraction. tank warfare does not revolve around this button, but its there and it sometimes helps you out.
