Get use to it Bunni. They have their rules because they are out to make a profit too. It sucks though and everyone hates it.
For example, one of my textbooks was $180, brand new because they just switched to the damn book (and even online it was hard to fine used or for less). Fine I pay for it and think at least I'll get a decent amount back at the end of the year. Nope. Even though they just switched to that damn book, they switched the book AGAIN to something different so they wouldn't take it back at all. I tried taking it to L&M Bookstore and another locale store that sells textbooks and the most they said they could give for that book was like $10 because it wasn't being used anymore.
I'm not even sure I can sell it on Amazon at this poin because of the newer additions of the book coming out.
Starting next year though my university is going to be giving students the option to rent their textbooks, supposedly for half the cost.

www.half.com
I wasted 5 semesters selling books back before I found out about this site. Not sure how it is now that ebay has their hands in the pot, but I bought/sold from that site for the rest of the college semesters and was saving at least 15% on books, while getting back 30% more when selling them.

Hahahha poor Bun.
I usually get great buy back prices. For instance, I sold back a book to the bookstore which I paid $165 for, and they gave me $100. Not bad at all.
The only time we usually have problems, is when they do not use that book edition any more.. then they will only offer you a $1 for it. That's when I say "fuck you", turn around and sell it online.
