Student Book Stores Scam Students
Ok, so they are doing this book buy back for students.
I had a stack of 109$ in books, perfect condition, litterally never LEFT THE BOX i recived them in! They gave me $11 for the hole thing.... wow w/e
Then they try and offer me $65 for the used math book they scammed me for $165 USED (maybe fair condition). Which too, had never left the box i received it in. You know they would have bought it from me and jacked it back up another $100, cunts. Im sure they bought it from the previous owner for the same price and then jacked it up again to sell it to me.
It would have been one thing if i had bought it at a lower price, but they were offering me less than half of what i bought it for and they were going to sell it back for 150%-200% of what they bought it from me for!
Fuck You Barns and Noble, ill sell my books on amazon to students for the prices you would have paid me, im not letting you exploit more students like that.
edit: oh by the way, the stack they bought back from me for $11, they sold to me used (though the previous owner too likely left them in the box they recived them in) for a total of $109. Scammers, dont buy from Barns and Noble! Or if nothing else, dont sell back to them! Get the same price they would have given you on amazon and help out a fellow student!

My school's fair about their buyback prices, but that being said, the price you pay when buying is waaaaayyyy inflated. That's why you find out the books you need ahead of time, and buy them for cheap on Amazon.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

There are loads of good book stores here. They all give you awesome deals on it. Last time I sold some books they were giving me anywhere from $45-$75 a book. Granted this was almost 10 years ago. Hell, drive around town and look for people throwing away their books when moving out and rack up. Got a couple thousand doing that a few years ago.

My aggravation in in the fact that they by the books back from me at 20%-40% of the price i bought it for then sell it back for 150%-200% of the price they paid me for it. Id rather sell it on amazon, get the same amount of money, but help out fellow students at the same time!

P.S. It's supply and demand.
Think like a capitalist!
I have a friend who buys BarBri Bar Exam study book sets after the Florida Bar exam for cheap off of eBay...then, about 3 months before the next round of Bar exams, he sells them at a fat profit.

The textbook market is a microcosm of the healt care industry...most students (patients) are not spending their personal money...they're spending grant funds, financial aid money, their parents money, etc. (Insurance company money, medicare money).
