Buying a Barrel Smoker to Smoke Some Ribs for my Birthday
So my birthday is coming up and I've been wanting to get a smoker to smoke some ribs for a long time. Well, I'm not a pro, just starting out, so I figure I'd get something cheap from the "Depot" or somewhere else. Anyways, I'm looking at smokers on the H-Depot website when a pop-up asks me if I need any help. I'm looking at this Brinkmann Barrel Smoker and I wonder if it's any good since it doesn't have an offset firebox like other offset smokers and I've already ruled out the vertical standing water smokers (anyone know if those are any good and if I'm making a good choice with the barrel smoker?)
Here's the link for the Barrel Smoker:

Anyways, I wanted to post up how dumb the automated help was:

I mean, look at our conversation. The dude just repeats what I said and then doesn't even speak proper English. WTF? Hahaha!

Even here in Texas, at any H.E.B. (local grocery store in Texas), they have pretty decent smokers usually out in front of their stores.

Best advice I can give, is smoke a ham first, its the easiest...get the feel for how your smoker cooks, maybe do a small chicken or turkey...hell, even some hamburgers and such...
Then move on to ribs once you feel comfortable...
Also, the BOMB shit for anyone who does not have a smoker...or likes thier steaks to be smoked flavor, but don't want to wait forever...go buy this..
