Lookin for work in DC area (IT)
well the title says it all, recently moved up to Maryland looking for work in DC or Montgomery county MD for an entry level IT position. if anyone knows anything or knows anyone or... well anything. any and all help is appreciated. here is a basic snippet of my resume without giving too much personal information since this is a public forum
* Experienced with Cisco 2500 and 2600 series routers, switches, wireless networking, and network security.
* LAN /WAN Networking, Switching, TCP/IP configuration, and basic web page design with FrontPage 2003.
* Proficient with troubleshooting, installation, and optimization procedures for personal computers and operating systems - Server 2003, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
* Knowledgeable and adept with current personal computers, hardware, and configurations.
* Adept with Microsoft Office 2003 suite.
Technical Support Agent: Level II
* Managed escalated issues with customers/representatives.
* Offered security software support via telephone, live chat and e-mail.
* Troubleshoot infected machines and implement of necessary virus removal instructions.

You still looking?
I would suggest going to the major defense contractor websites like General Dynamics, Northrup-Grumman, Lockheed-Martin, L3 Communications, and those types of guys. They are ALWAYS hiring IT folks in the DC area.Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.

That would be my recommendation as well. The Post always has a bunch of listings, and with the big biotech center going into Monkey County, there's probably a lot of openings. The DOD contractors always have stuff open as well.
Booz Allen Hamilton is always having ads on WTOP, and they seem to have a bunch of IT openings.Per Aspera Ad Astra
