whats the best smartphone?
And if you only have experience with one phone then your opinion of it in comparison to other phones shouldn't count.
I'm with Verizon and went to a verizon store earlier today. The sales guy was really trying to sell me on the Motorola Droid and said that it was the best Droid. He was all hyping up about how the Motorola droid has dual processors and stuff.
Not sure if my girl knows about the Motorola Droid but she seems to think the HTC Droid incredible is the best one.
I just looked at wiki and it appears the Motorola Droid only has one processor at half the speed of the HTC Droid....soooo I'm guessing the sales guy was just lying maybe?
Anyways, I'm looking for a new phone and I want a good internet phone where I can log onto accounts and do financial stuff. Any suggestions?
BTW, the sales guy said the Motorola droid was the best phone that Verizon offer (actually he said that it was the best phone in existence..........sales guys)..

The incredible is the best Android phone right now for the price. The Nexus One might have a little edge but the price is high. The Droid has a 550MHz processor to the incredible 1GHz. The same processor that's in the Nexus One.

Re: whats the best smartphone?
I am having problems with my my touch right now. I reboots all the time and drops calls. Guess what the genesis (android specialist) at t-mobile told me? They recommend rebooting android phones daily for best performance. The rep said he reboots his every 4-5 hours to keep it speedy. I told my iphone friends at work and they laughed. One said he probably reboots at most once a month. I think if the iphone came to tmo that I would switch.
tmo wonders why they are 4th and not catching up with their older phones.

Re: whats the best smartphone?
The Moto droid is a POS... touch screen is horrible. However... I have the HTC Eris droid and they just pushed Droid OS 2.1 to it and now my phone is shit...
Fly's top 5 reasons why not to buy the Eris Droid:
1. Battery life - You ever watch one of those vampire gore movies where they suck every drop of blood out of a person? My phone puts them to shame. Seriously. My phone could do it in half the time. While sleeping. Tied down. Headless.
2. Touch Screen - Oh my god, WTF?! Did I get demoted to frikin sandpaper?? And don't get me started on typing... I have hit nails less hard to make them go through solid frikin concrete!
3. Speech to Text Search - every droid runs Speech to Text search by default right? Holy shit. I might as well drive to Google and ask them the answer before it actually spells what I fucking say. I said "droid eris packet tracer". What does it search? The single word.... nude. NUDE. really?! I didn't even say an N or a U. I finally gave up and just typed it out. Worthless.
4. Speech to Text (other) - Verizon claimed that Droid 2.1 was suppose to release speech to text.. which basically can be used for texting and Google Talk. Shit's not there. It's like I got a special version of the OS that didn't come with Speech to Text.
5. Phone Calls - holy shit... after 32 attempts to place a call I finally rebooted the phone. Thank god I wasn't dying because dying would of had to been put on hold so I could reboot my phone, which by the way takes about 2 minutes. No one ever bleeds out in that time frame, so I guess I am over reacting.
